Continuing with the SAFE-FS Marketing programs, I have been attending many Meetups and having discussions and small presentations about the SAFE Network in general and SAFE-FS.
Here are some photos I have from the most recent one, which was in Southern Florida. It was a Meetup for podcasters, and I attended to make contacts with successful podcasters who I could be interviewed with. The first photo at the top was a group that is working on improving access to education and political freedom, among other tings, in South America, and I hope to be on their podcast soon, with the synergies there. The man in the white let me post these pictures during the presentation, and he was the one interested in decentralization tech and distributed governance who might join the forums. Everyone else was a presenter or listener, and I met many potential contacts for podcast interviews in the future. Was definitely a success!
I'm always surprised with how many people I meet at Meetups who have heard about MaidSafe, and everyone who knows about it is always interested and wants to learn more. Many people who know of the project but don't really follow the forums are always very plesantly surprised to hear that new updates have come out, especially these newset ones with the very enhanced dashboard with vault readings, etc.
We are looking to get more interviews and opportunities to present. There have been several, but some are short, and are more of an introduction of any projects you may be working on and what languages you are developing in. However when I use those few short minutes to talk about SAFE, decentralized (uncensorable / uncontrolled) internet and SAFE-FS, it always creates a great stir and I get many people talking to me afterwards, making connections.
This will continue and hopefully multiply in the very near future!
